Old Testament Survey

The Old Testament is quoted at least 264 times in the New Testament.  Augustine said of the two testaments that "the new is in the old concealed; the old is in the new revealed."  If you would like to understand the Old Testament better and how it fits into God's overall plan of redemption this class is for you.  The entire Bible is one cohesive and coherent story of God's redemptive plan in history.  In Jesus' time, the Old Testament was their Bible.  Join us as we look at the entire Old Testament and show how Jesus is the hero of each book of the Old Testament and how God's plan to establish His kingdom is progressively revealed.  At the end of this class you will have a much better understanding of the Old Testament, of how God's covenants or promises have been kept, and how the establishment of His Kingdom has marched forward as God reaches into our space and time to work out our salvation.
